"I Was Exactly Where You Are 3 Years Ago"

Hi, I'm Hamna

- a computer scientist by training, project manager at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, mom of twins, and the woman who went from financially confused to building real wealth the halal way.

My analytical mind could solve complex technical problems at work, but I was completely lost when it came to my own money.

Three years ago, I was:

  • Making good money but had no idea how to grow it
  • Googling "is this investment halal?" at 2 AM while nursing twins, feeling overwhelmed
  • Letting money sit in checking accounts losing value to inflation because I was too scared to invest
  • Getting conflicting advice from three different male family members—and trusting none of them
  • Feeling ashamed that someone with my education still didn't know how to manage money

Sounds Familiar?

Here's my rock bottom moment:

Post-Covid, I'm sitting at my kitchen table—twins crawling at my feet—staring at an email: "You're being called back to the office."

I'm looking at daycare costs. The logistics. The idea of someone else raising my babies during their most formative years.

And I had these dreams:

  • Taking my kids for Umrah—not "someday," but NOW
  • Sending them to Islamic school
  • Saving for their college
  • Having TIME with them

But I was living paycheck to paycheck. Every month, money came in, money went out, and I had nothing to show for it.

That's when it hit me:

I can't save my way to these goals.

I needed to learn how to make my money WORK for me.

So I went all in. Took financial literacy courses (yes, while postpartum with twins). Watched every YouTube video at 3 AM. Learned about budgeting, investing, compound interest.

I was OBSESSED. I was on FIRE.

And then... I opened my 401k, ready to start investing.

And that question hit me:
"Wait... is this halal?"

Suddenly, I was back to square one.

I was stuck between two worlds:

Western finance resources:
Amazing content. Zero mention of halal compliance.

Islamic finance resources:
Talking about countries I don't live in. Accounts I can't access in the US.

Then I asked my family:

  • Brother #1: "Just invest in tech stocks."
  • Brother #2: "No, invest in start-ups."
  • Brother-in-law: "Just avoid investing altogether."

Three men, three completely different answers. And me? Paralyzed.

Then I had this realization:
If I'm struggling this much, how many other Muslim women are stuck in the exact same place?

That question changed everything.

I spent the next two years piecing it all together—Islamic finance principles, halal screening, portfolio purification, zakat calculations, making my 401k halal-compliant. I made EVERY mistake so you wouldn't have to.

Today, using the same systematic approach I use in tech, I've:

  • Grown my net worth by over $70,000 in just 3 years
  • Built a $200,000+ halal investment portfolio
  • Created automated investment systems that grow wealth while I focus on my family
  • Opened education accounts for my kids with automatic contributions
  • Become the financially empowered mother I always wanted to be

The difference? I stopped trying to figure it out alone.

Now I'm teaching that exact system to you.
